Atlanta Based Crystal Lalucci Drops New Single ‘Diorr’
Samantha Colleran, May 2020
Crystal Lalucci is a Philadelphia born hip-hop artist who draws inspiration from the likes of Madonna and Lil Kim. Although she is hip-hop focused, she spans other genres including funk, pop, as well as rock. Apart from music, she also models and writes poetry. At 14 she began writing rhymes, and after a studio session she began rapping, and has continued doing so to this day.
Her sound has been described as having an “in your face” and “real” hip-hop sound, with interesting lyrical flows in all of her songs. Crystal’s sound and lyrical style are both unique to her. Since her career started, she has performed in a number of states at a wide variety of events; from festivals such as South by Southwest (SXSW) and AC3, talent showcases, fashion events, and even the Women Empowerment Event in Atlanta, Crystal’s music has been on a number of stages. Crystal has also performed in New York, the Carolinas, and New Jersey. Her music has also made it overseas. She was also nominated for ‘Best Female Hip-Hop Artist’ at the Phila Hip Hop Awards in 2016 and 2017.
Shortly after being nominated for the Phila Hip Hop Awards, Crystal made the move to Atlanta, Georgia in order to get involved in a larger music market. Although she has been in Atlanta for a short time, she’s already won Atlanta’s ‘Most Slept On Female Artist’ in 2018 and has been nominated for ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist’. She has also performed at a number of venues across the city. Crystal has a number of singles as well as a debut EP Casino which gained thousands of streams within the first week that are all available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. Although she is associated with a number of labels within the industry, Crystal is an independent artist and promotes her music on her own.
Her current single ‘Diorr’ was released on April 27 and is available to stream on the previously mentioned streaming services. Don’t forget to follow her on Instagram and Facebook to be updated on future releases!
