Harry Styles Just Dropped His Fifth Music Video Of The ‘Fine Line’ Era And It’s “So Golden”!

The moment is finally here. My favorite song off of Harry Styles’ critically acclaimed Fine Line has its own video, and to say I have a lot of feelings about it would be an understatement. If you’re a long time reader of my blog you know how much I love Harry, and “Golden” in particular (it’s my second favorite song in his entire discography!), so seeing visuals paired with this song is hitting a really special place in my heart.
It’s been speculated by fans that the video would drop closer to the end of the month, and those suspicions were confirmed on Friday when HSHQ (Harry Styles Headquarters) posted a single cover (pictured above) to their Instagram page, and yesterday when HSHQ posted a short clip of the video to their social media accounts announcing that the video would drop on October 26, today!
And now, “Golden” is finally here, and I’m genuinely so excited about it! First off, I was a little shocked that the video didn’t follow the timeline of past singles “Lights Up” and “Adore You”, since those two had similar themes. Regardless, I thought that the video, which was filmed in Italy, was incredibly aesthetically pleasing and fit the song so well!
The majority of the video is Harry in an open white shirt running. What he’s running towards is unclear, maybe it’s “the light” he sings about in the first verse (“hoping/ Take me back to the light”). We also see him driving on a highway, which is something I’m absolutely obsessed with and those images are among my favorites in the video. My dream is to listen to this song on an open highway, driving along and blasting this song with the windows down. Harry perfectly executed that image, and I’m so grateful for it.
We see a more playful side of Harry as well; different clips of Harry in a blue suit dancing around to the beat on the streets of Italy, him swimming in the water and singing to the camera. There’s also clips of him in the cutest little yellow hat and high waisted pants singing along to the lyrics on a giant rock. The cinematography in this video is incredible, and Harry’s vision for “Golden” is one that makes me so happy to finally see played out.

Yep, he’s pretty golden on the eyes! Just heard news that Harry is very involved with building of new music arena in Manchester that will be top class when finished.
Isn’t he the cutest? Yes he is! The news was announced just before the release of this video actually 🙂 I’ll have to plan a 2023 trip to Manchester to check it out when it’s finished!
