Following the incredible success of her hit single “Sourpatch”, Lexi Mariah is back with her fourth single, and it’s her most emotional release to date. “Waterfall”, written by Lexi and producers Josh Frank and Joe Frank, is an anthem for those who feel the everyday struggles of dealing with negativity in society.

With an early 2000s pop instrumental feel including electric guitars, catchy drum beats, and an all around happy sounding vibe, “Waterfall” is a feel good song that will certainly make its listeners feel empowered. The lyrics overall make listeners feel brave enough to break out of their shell and push past all the negative energy that may be in their lives. “You can’t hurt, hurt me like you did before/ ‘Cause I’m not drowning underneath it all”, Lexi sings in the chorus.

Speaking about the single ahead of its release, Lexi said “As a young woman breaking into the music industry, I’ve really had to learn the best way to stand up for myself and look past a lot of the negativity that’s often thrown my way.” She hopes the song serves as a motivator to people struggling to feel accepted in any social setting they may find it hard to fit in with.
