Ogechi Is An Artist Making Her Own Sound

Ogechi is an 22 year old Atlanta based AstroAfro recording artist, dancer, and author who is currently streaming her work on Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Tidal. She is also a co-host of Rude Girl Radio which is a talk show that focuses mainly on music as well as the music industry.
She started her career off as a poet, but eventually made the transition into music. Her first EP, Intersectional Blvckness, was released in 2017. It features the single “BLVCK +WOMVN” which was featured on a Spotify playlist. Since her first release, Ogechi has released 6 demo EPs that cover a multitude of genres, including rap, rock, funk and others. She has performed at sold out festivals in Nigeria, and has also performed on stages big and small across the United States.
Her most recent work, titled “You Got Me” is available to stream on Quadio. With the new track, she hopes to prepare listeners for her newest project, as well as introduce them to a new genre she calls “AstroAfro”. With powerful lyrics in songs like “Blvck Womvn (Body Pg. 1)” and “We All Know”, and unique beats (“Infatuation”, “we Glow”), Ogechi is someone who is making strides in the industry and is definitely an artist who you want to keep on your radar!
