Sunday Sounds: April 11, 2021, “Disco Baby”

If you’re an early follower of my blog, you may remember my review of Uchechi’s EP Gemini Sun. Today, Uchechi has released another single titled “Disco Baby”, and it’ll make you want to dance your heart out!
Musically, the song draws inspiration from the iconic disco legends, ABBA. It’s super upbeat, you’ll be dancing in your seat as you listen along. Lyrically, Uchechi sings about wanting to express romantic feelings but being afraid to do so. It talks about questioning whether the person of interest is looking at you, or if it’s all in your head. It touches on real life experiences, and one of Uchechi’s main goals with songwriting is to write music that people can relate to, which makes “Disco Baby” incredibly relatable for all the shy people reading this!
