Lily Soleil has always had her toes dipped into the world of music. She started singing at the age of five, wrote her first song at 12, and released a song she wrote for her dad titled “I Love You (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah)” at the age of 13. Since that first track, Lily has evolved into a more mature artist with a different sound than her first song, which is shown best in her debut EP titled Gemini released in December, and more recently her newest single titled “Stargazing” released on August 6!

Drawing inspiration from artists like Carole King, Sade, Maggie Rogers, Corrine Bailey Rae, and most importantly Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Lily has worked to create her own unique sound and style that blends pop, R&B, folk, jazz, and pop-rock together. Lyrically, “Stargazing” is about an experience Lily had with someone she met last August; “It was that feeling of being able to open up to someone right away without feeling like you’re sharing too much with them, and that feeling of knowing that person is going to be significant in your life”. It has a hint of melancholy, as a number of Lily’s songs do, when she sings about this person being “so far away” from her now. Her vocals are smooth and complement the dream like instrumentals that carry you through the song.

You can listen to the track on Apple Music, Spotify, or any other streaming service you may prefer to use! You can follow Lily on Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok to stay up to date on her future releases, and as always let me know your thoughts on “Stargazing” in the comments!
