Samina Lovelyn is back with a new single titled “Diamond Rings”! Speaking about the song, Lovelyn said that the song came about faster than most of her previous work. She found a beat online that she couldn’t get out of her head, she began to hum the lyrics to the chorus as she listened to the beat. Drawing from personal inspirations, the lyrics of the song came rather quickly to Samina. Singing about two past relationships, the song was “begging” to come out of her, according to Samina.
“Diamond Rings” was officially released on December 27 of last year, just before the new year! The overall message of the song is that material items in a relationship aren’t important if there is no love connection. In the chorus Samina sings “He gave me diamond rings/ Bought me designer things/ But you gave me all your love/ And somehow that’s all I needed” over the catchy beat.
