Sunday Sounds: January 24, 2021, “Won’t Make It Easy”

Another new artist featured as this week’s Sunday Sounds! Kiera Dillon recently released her debut album Perspective at the beginning of the month, and has kept up the musical momentum by releasing a new single titled “Won’t Make It Easy”.
After meeting producer Hunter Kino in college, the two decided to put their own unique spin on the James Bond theme and released their debut collaboration on January 15. Combining orchestra elements with modern pop styles, we follow the story of a character wanting to hold onto a toxic love, no matter what the cost may be. The background is smooth and Kiera’s vocals drive the song as she belts out the chorus, “Maybe I’m selfish for/ Asking you back for more”. It’s a standout song among Kiera’s debut tracks, and Hunter’s production is incredible on this song. I’d love to see more collaborations between these two!
