Sunday Sounds: July 11, 2021, “No Inches In Between”

If you haven’t been able to get Scorpio Szn’s first 2021 release titled “Sugar Sugar” out of your head, prepare yourself for their newest ear worm, “No Inches In Between” which was released this past Friday! Emulating an 80s feel, you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away from the infectious instrumentals and Zandi’s dreamy vocals.
Armando Orona produced the track and worked to perfect the 80s feel in a way that would compliment Zandi Ashley’s voice. Key instruments include the obvious synth (is it 80s pop inspired if there isn’t at least one synth track?), a solid drum track, and a killer electric guitar, and they fit effortlessly with Zandi’s smooth vocals. Although you can hear the clear 80s influence, “No Inches In Between” still has that perfect Scorpio Szn touch that makes it a standout track.
Lyrically, the song talks about falling for someone but not wanting to admit the feelings to yourself. Speaking about the track, Zandi said “It’s about the moment you’re realizing you’re falling for someone and you keep flashing back to the intimate moments shared; however your mind is nonchalantly dancing around the idea of being vulnerable”. It’s hard to keep yourself from singing along by the time the second chorus comes around, I’ve had it on repeat and I still can’t get enough of it!
You’ll certainly fall for this new track from the first few seconds of listening! “No Inches In Between” is out on all platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and others!
