Opening up about coming to terms with the mistakes she\u2019s made in life, \u201cDidn\u2019t Know Better\u201d showcases one of Saturn\u2019s best vocal performances, and with an upbeat instrumental track you\u2019ll feel all your worries about your own mistakes melt away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like a lot of Saturn\u2019s music, she drew on past experiences. Speaking about what inspired the lyrics, Saturn said \u201cI spent so much time beating myself up for the times I said or did something I looked back and regretted. Eventually, I knew that the only way to heal and become happier was to forgive myself, acknowledge that I didn’t know then what I know now, and laugh it off as best as I can\u201d. Saturn felt that saying she \u201cshould\u2019ve known better\u201d still felt like she was shaming herself; you can\u2019t know everything all the time, and that\u2019s okay. Making the title \u201cDidn\u2019t Know Better\u201d removes the shame aspect and reminds listeners that they won\u2019t have all the answers, and learning from your mistakes is sometimes the only thing you can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can tell how much fun Saturn had writing and recording this track, it\u2019s evident in every aspect of the song, and that\u2019s what makes this such a fantastic listen.
